Nowadays it's truly a very very small minority of white people who think that way. It's not viewed as acceptable, generally, by mainstream society at all, be it white , black, or whatever else.

I myself am a white young woman (22) and grew up in a wealthy italian neighborhood my entire life and I find that I don't think it's "white people" that think that they are superior, I believe it it the person themself. I have came across a lot of people black, and hispanics that think that they are superior to white people for whatever reason. There are alot of caucasions that don't think they are superior to any one (including myself). I can't tell you exactly why some people think that way but it probably has a lot to do with the way they were raised, and what they learned as children from society Other races always have something to say about white people but what about africans and latinos? THEY ARE NO BETTER WE ARE ALL EQUALLY THE SAME!

Not all white people think they are superior to others, society favors whites over other races. Its called White privelage. Read the book, "Why are all the black kids sitting in the cafeteria". Hope it helps. Great book. Talks about White privelage, white superiority and so on.

I personally think the races are different. I do not think any one is better than another, but we are all different and there are many traits that some races are better at than others.

So to answer your racist question, it may be that some racists think that since so many of the great accomplishments throughout history have been done by white people, that makes the white race superior.

I dont' think that white people think that they are superior over all other races. I do, however, think that it is unfair to us that we get referred to as the white people by other races who feel this way. We are made into one big group and stereotyped for things that happened many many years ago and I am tired of this treatment to us as well. I think that no matter what color your skin is, people should be judged on their insides not grouped together with others and given one title! I don't think that other races like the names that they have been called in big groups like referring to African Americans as the n word or to the Mexican Americans as beaners......no one likes that and it is rude. I will however say that our country was founded by white men and women and I think it is a crock that other races came over here to get a better life and then made us out to be the bad guy all of the time in that era. I am sorry for rudeness that has been experienced by you but remember that I AM NOT THE ONE THAT WAS RUDE TO YOU!!

Some do, but the majority don't, in my opinion. I don't think O'm superior because of my race, my group of friends is multicultural, and trust me, everyone has an equal and powerful part in our group. Don't stereotype, it is bad for society.
