I would say usually Crips are born in Crip neighborhoods, and "joining" is just something that sort of happens as the person gets older, and starts hanging around with people who are Crips, or in some cases he or she admires and emulates them, for whatever reasons, and eventually just becomes one. It's like saying how can I join the mafia? It's neighborhood, (usually) race or ethnicity, environment, family, what you see growing up, who you grow up with, etc etc. Most people, "outsiders" , would never have a chance to "join".

To join the Crips (or any gang) you must first look in the mirror and say to yourself "I am a total loser" Then you MUST decide if living in a house is a good thing, Or a Jail... Or being killed by another scumball gang member like yourself.
The best thing I like about gangs is that they kill each other. Kinda solves the gang problem.

First Why would you? I grew up in a neighbor hood that was run by the bloods. My guess is that it would be the same way. You have to kill or do something just as bad. Thats only if your a man. If you are a girl you have to sleep with all of the guys in the gang, in one night. The only way to get out is to die or get the krap bet out of you. Which you hope you make it through and not die.
