Considering the falling US dollar, and the subsequent rising of oil prices, it is an understandable move to price oil in Euros, which are worth more, and more stable.

This is what Bush and others fear most "Capitalism" at its finest .
I am happy to see the canary chase the cat . This my just be what America needs to start and provide goods for our selfs .
Its all fine when we print all the money we want trade it for oil and then print more . We are trading paper for oil and the dollar is worthless to Arabs who rely on the European community for goods and services .
Only by convincing oil sheiks to invest in America with those dollars does this plan work well for America .
They have been trading American dollars for Euro dollars to spend on the products they need lately and this has made the European Union remarkably well off .
They work 30-35 hours a week have health care and enjoy 4-6 weeks of vacation every year . What does America have going for it .
Massive debt ,45-50 hour work weeks and two weeks vacation .
Seems we are not as productive per person as Europe is these days .
10% of Americans have a great life while the rest of us pay for it .
We provide the taxes that pay the people at places like Halliburton locheed-martin and other so called private industries that sell arms to the government paid with taxes . So we pay approximately 2 million workers the salary they need to live from our tax revenues .Along with millions of teachers police fire civil service and many others who provide services only to the government .
Bush has expanded government , put us in debt , and is risking our way of life and standard of living all on voodoo economics of the dollar tied to oil prices .
I hope Americans wake up and we all begin once again to value our lifestyle and trade fairly among ourselves .Garbage men and ditch diggers need nice homes also and so do janitors maintenance people and in general the working class . We need thousands of people to fill pot holes and repair our roads and this does not mean we need to spend 10,000 a year on education after the 8th grade for everyone .Kids and parents need to accept reality . Some people are just plain smarter and will need to work in the sciences to develop new medicines do engineering and solve our common problems with advanced technologies .
I do not expect my accountant to figure out how to produce efficient and cost effective solar power generating station or design a safe nuclear reactor . I do not mind these people being paid more then a painter but realize we only need a few thousand people working on such things .And we need a few million painters ,so painters need to be compensated well enough to by a nice home .
No one can make it on 9-12 dollars an hour the going rate it seems for workers of all kinds . AT the swift plants that got raided and lost the illegals working for them the pay had decreased from 20 dollars and hour down to 10 over the last 15 years . Busting unions and threatening to move plants abroad to increase shareholders profits has left America in a bad predicament . LIke oil being traded for Euros .

Last week I got laughed at for this subject.

This forum still thinks the Statue of Liberty has a dollar bill in her hand. And Mickey Mouse is the Secretary of Treasure.

we were financing our federal funds deficit and cutting-edge expenses deficit with the help of borrowing money from foreigners. in some unspecified time sooner or later they're going to lose their appitite for money. Witness the falling dolllar and the severe cost of gold.

It absolutely amazes me, really, how anyone can support the Bush administration. They have totally screwed up everything they touch. To my fellow Americans who are on the right side of the political spectrum, please please please wake up! Bush is extremely dangerous for our country and our future!
