My guess, and I haven't seen the cartoon this morning, is that the nasty downstairs neighbor's cigar was the culprit. What do you think?

Yes, I think it was the cigar...he smokes them like a train.

You get the 10 points yourself. As the rest of the family got outside they saw flames coming from the jerk's apartment. I'd bet he fell asleep with the thing lit and torched the apartment
