I'm going to Mazatlan in March or April, and I'd like a reasonably priced hotel which is safe, quiet, and clean. (By reasonably priced, I mean no higher than about $40 US.) It doesn't have to be near the beach, just walking distance from town.

Also, what things in Mazatlan should I not miss?

Go to the Clements Hotel. It is very inexpensive and very nice for the price. It is also reasonably close to the beach. I stay there everytime I visit Mazatlan. There are soo many things in Mazatlan that you should not miss! What I found to be best was to just stroll about the city and take it all in. There will be many aspects of the city that may or may not appeal to you personally and I found it easiest to discover these aspects through casual touring. I hope you have a ton of fun!! =D

there are other hotels that might be cheaper, But I forgot the names I remember where they are but not the names. I recommed you to go to Valentinos, good club, or go to Bora Bora, another nice club,
