Please try to ask a friend in your class. Your teacher/professor may want a specific answer.

That being said...
social construction is the attitudes and beliefs which a culture constructs. Culture is a set of shared beliefs among a group of people. Gender is one example of something which is 'socially constructed.' Gender is one set of social roles fulfilled by people in a society, whereas sex is the biological given. Social constructions of gender in the modern Western world, for example, only allow for two genders: male and female. Social constructions of gender in other societies allow for more flexibility, such as the 'berdache' of Native American groups. This example is a biological man who takes on certain tasks and jobs which were generally assumed 'female;' he also dressed as a female.

Race and ethnicity are also social constructions. For example, in the modern United States, anyone with a relatively small amount of African heritage is considered 'black,' no matter that they may be relatively light-skinned. Ethnicity, such as in the case of Hispanicness, may be in part culturally constructed in such ways as place of residence, language spoken, and foodways.

You really might have to have examples from class - I've given you examples from my classes.

Had you done your homework in the first place then it would take little effort to explain social construction. I recomment studying what you do your reports about then if it "gets stolen" you will be able to at least be able to prove you did the work by having "knowledge" on the subject matter.

It's Christmas time. Most schools were dismissed an hour ago. Why would you have homework at Christmas time? Anyway, do it yourself. You didn't have your notebook stolen, you're just lazy.
