Because bunny doesn't have anything to do with resurrection whatsoever.
The rabbit and the eggs originate from MUCH older pagan celebrations of first spring full moon and/or the spring equinox, which were of course fertility rites. Both rabbit and eggs have strong fertility symbols. The legend originates from the myth of the German goddess Eostre or Ostara, which was brought gifts by all the animals to show the appreciation for her.
Now please don't confuse a much older pagan fertility celebration with a much newer christian rite - christians just couldn't uproot the traditional pagan festivities, so they gave them their own meaning. But the symbols survived to the present day.

i think of the two rabbits & eggs are symbols of fertility & spring. of direction, rabbits do no longer lay eggs, so that's extremely unusual. i've got heard that resurrection & re-beginning are rapidly appropriate. i do no longer understand the reason of the hiding area. enable's in basic terms be happy the bunny does not conceal the eggs in the water because of the fact it may well be a chilly day, & as nicely, human beings would get their Easter finery all moist, even whilst it is not raining. For those human beings who in no way had young ones, i found out that it particularly is great to volunteer to assist conceal the babies' eggs. that's a great type of relaxing. as nicely, then we get to hobnob with the Easter Bunny, who's a lot of relaxing, regardless of the indisputable fact that no longer constantly logical. i wouldn't in any respect dream of being a killjoy through asking why we are hiding the eggs. in basic terms have relaxing, & consistent with risk the babies will invite you to play hopscotch after drawing it out on the sidewalk with the coloured chalk or perhaps play a sprint volleyball after lunch. in basic terms think of enjoying hopscotch or volleyball with the Easter Bunny. Snoopy & those little birds would connect in, too. Oh, nicely, trip journeys are not completely logical. there have been lots of reincarnations of the trip journeys of one way of existence being reborn into the trip journeys of yet another way of existence. that's why it is not an afternoon generally happening for working good judgment puzzles in our puzzle mags. particularly, that's an afternoon just to enjoy, no count if with others or on my own, a great time for drowsing & meditating. (If the friends are too noisy, the two invite your self through offering to deliver the ice cream, or in basic terms grin & bear it, hoping they're going to do the same for you some day.)

Easter, as it is now, is in celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus. We celebrate the fact that He died for us, was resurrected, and now we have the chance to get into Heaven. He had to be crucified. He Himself wanted to be crucified, to help us. Talk about self-sacrifice.

Wait, how come bunny was in the scene, when it was still the crucifixion period. Easter came after resurrection, right? The question seems complicated.
