You bought him the Wii. You did not buy her the Wii.

What I would do in this case is give it to your boyfriend. That was the intention, and he would feel hurt if he knew that you had bought one for him, and given it to your sister instead, when she (of late) said that she wanted one.

Everybody wants one.

If you're not convinced, whoever's birthday isn't first gets it. Then, get the other one the Wii for their birthday. Or wait until V-Day for your boyfriend, either way.

Well if you already bought her the ps2 then you should not take it back. Just give her the ps2 and give him the wii. Because you got it for him first so you should just stick with that and give it to him,or you could just give the ps2 to him and give the wii to her.

i don't know why people becomes jerks and uses the excuse of blood is thicker than water.
if your sister ask you to jump from a building instead, would you do it?

PUHLEASEE people!
If you truly care about your sister, you should teach her the meaning of responsibility and consequences.
She DID ask you to buy the silver PS2 right?

She can't just suddenly change her mind because she felt jealous that your boyfriend has better things than her. If she wanted wii, why she asked for PS2 instead? The world doesn't suddenly revolve backward just because it wants to.

My suggestion, your BF asked for Wii. And, you bought it for him (NOT for your sister).
Eventhough as your BF, he should understand.. but, if you took it away from him, it shows more about your character.
It shows that you don't really care about your BF.

Now.. personally, i would give the gift to whomever asked first about it; and, if they suddenly change mind when i already bought the gifts for them, it's TOO BAD. They just have to deal with it.
But, if you can't bear to hear your sister whining about it all the time, then you should go and buy a new Wii for her, instead of robbing it from your BF.

Well you have known your sister for much longer than you have known your boyfriend, most likely, and she will be there with you for your whole life. Your boyfriend will probably spend more time on the games than with you so in my opinion you should give it to your sister. However, if you could work out a deal with your boyfriend that you give it to him but keep it at your place so that your sis could play, then it would be a win win situation. Your boyfriend will have to be with you to play and your sister could enjoy it also. Plus, if you ever break up, which is probably going to happen eventually, as statistics would suggest, your sis will still have it to enjoy.

Normally it would be the "early bird catches the worm" kind of deal but I think family should come first. Your sister will always be there and may resent it if you got it for your boyfriend and not her. One day your boyfriend may not be there (**crosses fingers for you that he will always be there**) and you may end up resenting having bought it for him and not her.

I think that if he is a good boyfriend he will completely understand that sisters are first!!!
