I'm planning a trip and I could really use some advice, specially when it comes to finding the cheapest ways to travel.

It takes hourSSS to go to Berlin or Hanover from Milan.
Yes! It's good idea but you will get bored after 10 hours in a nice train.

Why don't you consider about low-cost airline? Airberlin provides a cheap ticket from Milan - Berlin starting from 19Euro.

Check it out!! www.airberlin.com

European trains are the way to do it. They go *everywhere,* are relatively inexpensive, and travel through the most spectacular scenery on the planet. You will be going over the Alps on your trip, so do it in the daytime or you'll miss the best part. People who brag about saving a night's lodging by sleeping on the train are not getting the point of traveling for enjoyment.

Beware of Eurail, though. Unless you intend to travel every other day or so it's not such a good deal. Plan your trip in advance and add up the cost using Eurail vs individual tickets and you might be surprised (it is cheaper if you're under 25, though).
