Because they are different races.

They both originated from East Africa, from where they migrated to the rest of the world, inhabiting different environments.

Over a period of tens of thousands of years, each race developed particular physical features and skin colour to adapt to their environments.

As for the different build, that's because they had different exposure to sunlight, which is thought to affect the body build and height over a considerably long period of time. The amount each groups had to eat in their environments could also have contributed.

The different groups were seperated for some time, genetically, such that there was some genetic drift in characteristics. The different environments have contributed some to the differences in characteristics.

Had this gone on for a very long time, the drift would likely have resulted in different species, but at this point, the differences are actually quite minor in the genetic/biological sense.

According to the Bible, all humans on Earth today are descended from Noah and his wife, his three sons and their wives, (Genesis 1-11). But today we have many different groups, often called "races," with what seem to be greatly differing features. The most obvious of these is skin color. Many see this as a reason to doubt the Bible's record of history. They believe that the various groups could have arisen only by evolving separately over tens of thousands of years. However, as we shall see, this does not fit with actual biological evidence.

There is really only one race—the human race. The Bible teaches us that God has "made of one blood all nations of men" (Acts 17:26). Scripture distinguishes people by tribal or national groupings, not by skin color or physical appearance. Clearly, though, there are groups of people who have certain features (e.g., skin color) in common, which distinguish them from other groups. We prefer to call these "people groups" rather than "races," to avoid the evolutionary connotations associated with the word "race."

The Bible also states that the population that descended from Noah's family had one language and by living in one place were disobeying God's command to "fill the earth" (Genesis 9:1, 11:4). God confused their language, during the building of a monument meant to reach to Heaven, causing a break-up of the population into smaller groups which scattered over the Earth (Genesis 11:8-9).

Modern genetics show how, following such a break-up of a population, variations in skin color, for example, can develop in only a few generations. There is good evidence that the various people groups we have today have not been separated for huge periods of time. Actually, we did not gain any information or traits, just that we lost certain ones that another group did not, for example, we all have fat cells in our eyes, but Asians have more fat cells, which gives them thier more squinted look. Africans seem to have more cartilidge in thier noses, and often have bigger ones than other groups, and so on.

All people can interbreed and produce fertile offspring. This shows that the biological differences between the "races" are not very great. In fact, the DNA differences are trivial. The DNA of any two people in the world would typically differ by just 0.2 percent. That's not much at all.

Unfortunately, racial features are visual, and most of what we think as people is based on what we see with our eyes, our first impressions. This is the basis for our cultural problems, along with the fact that religious warfare and land gains are the cause for most wars in human history, not actually race.

Blacks were used as slaves because they were visually different, and easy to pick out, as well as the fact that they were typically more physically gifted, a trait that whites and asians lost since they couped themselves up in colder climates for centuries.

All ethnos have their own idiosyncratic phenotypes as well as builds and body characteristic variations as well. Caucasians and Asians do not have the patent on human differentiation.

They have both adapted to drastically different environments based on multifactorial genes. These genes are affected in life by environmental factors such as weather and food.

there is no definite answr to this, but my theory would be that at the start of human existance (somewhere in the middle east), all humans were white. when they went in different direction to start off life, each of them indured different condtions. example; the first 'asians" would travel through hot, muddy terrarin eventually redering their skin colors, yellow-brown. whilst the whites would travel through cold, dry, europe, keepin em white. as for the build of each race, i'd say that they each endured different physical strain. and, when asians wre forced to cross desert, the food+water supply would stay low for long periods of time, making them skinny, while the white people would eat meaty and fatty foods.

Type that in on Google...you should get some factual answers. My idea would be though that enviroment greatly affects the factors of skin color and build (sun, hot/cold, lots of work).
