Can you become a boyfriend just by chatting...on the internet?

Uh, not in my book. You'd be a chat friend, not even classified as a "real" friend.

It can happen anytime.
But do not count on it just by chatting.

no you are not a boyfriend, you are a internet friend...the modern version of penpal. to be considered a boyfriend, you should first meet in person

It's possible, but not too likely. I think most girls don't consider someone their boyfriend until they've physically met them.
