Where Can I get a computer stand with built- in USB ports and built- in audio jacks ?

You mean a docking station for a laptop or what? Tigerdirect.com has some for about $100. I buy all of my hardware there.

Go with Kris K and start it up in safe mode. By all means try a system restore first: Start/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. From F8 you can also choose to start from the last known good config, but that doesn't give you the flexibility of safe mode. It's not playing fair saying there is a hardware "or" software problem. Law of probability says your daughter has added software that is conflicting with the existing software of a piece of hardware, so the first stop is add or remove programs from the control panel. Other possibility is a piece of hardware has failed, (not likely as you would blue screen on opening it, not just blue screen). But, Control Panel, Add Hardware, Yes I have already connected the hardware. Click on each choice and it will say working properly or otherwise. If your still in trouble it looks like a format, but my hunch is you have a software conflict.
