immie if it is a girl, immo if a boy
gennie if a girl, gen if it is a boy
If you look at it backwards it looks like negomi.
I have also heard Imogen before but I don't know what it means. I'm glad that you actually told someone that they can not get you to change the name. Some people just up here to name other people children instead of providing advise for there question.

I love the name Imogen! That was Julia Stiles name on a movie I saw a long time ago. I forgot what it was called. It is a beautiful name, and I wouldn't use a nickname. But if you do I'd say Emma. I don't really know.

I so loved the names I gave my 3 children, I didn't revert to nicknames. So far of the suggestions, I like Gennie.

Immy. That way her nickname can be more user friendly, but she will still have the special name that you picked out for her.

Am I right that it is pronounced I'm u Jean? If so go with Jean. My Granma's name is Erna Gene and she has used Jean forever.
