While I wish people in non-essential jobs didn't have to work on Christmas Day (or other important holidays), I have a friend who has no choice but to finish shopping that day. Does anyone know of (1) any major retail chains that will be open on Christmas, or (2) any stores in western CT (Litchfield County, Danbury...) or central CT (Greater Hartford)? I already know about Walgreens and the wonderful Crown Supermarket, in West Hartford. Thanks for your help and Happy Holidays to all!

Blockbuster Video. They NEVER close and most sell movies and games.

Walgreens, White Hen Pantry are always open on holidays and they have gift cards for every place imaginable or lottery tickets.
