Well some people celebrate it but don't give out gifts. This is because many people forget that christmas is about the time Jesus was born. It's true, no one actually knows when he was born, but they know it was around december because it was cold and stuff. Christmas is to celebrate the day of Jesus's Birth, were not really suppose to get gifts on somebody's birthday. For examle, if it was YOUR b-day, the rest of the world would be having Presents on YOUR b-day. Some people just really don't know the true meaning of Christmas. Others celebrate christmas and they have no religion, or they have beliefs for something else but they still celebrate Christmas. Which i think is wrong. It's ok if your parents dont celebrate Christmas, they dont have to give out presents, let them just know this was the day the people chose to be Jesus' birthday. And, yes, i do know a few people who don't celebrate Christmas.
Hope this helped.

Hey, I was just talking to a lady I work with about this.!
She is Muslim and she said she wish she could put up a tree and give presents. I told her she can still give gifts this time of year if she wants to. She said when she was younger and less religious she WOULD put up a tree and exchange gifts with the family!! But now, she's older and more religious, so she's not 'supposed' to celebrate other's holidays.....

yea, that REALLY isnt when he was born. but we celebrate the 12 days of christmas from christmas day to sometime in january, -because its some advent thing. we celebrate christmas later than his bday bcuz thats about the time that the 3 wisemen came to share their gifts with christ. ppl arnt really sure when he was born, bcuz our calender is different now than it was some billion years ago (bahaha) science guys and history geeks believe that the was born around dec. 6 -my sis' bday too- YAY

my friends that are Jewish or Islamic celebrate Christmas to some extent just because it's a traditional American Holiday and the commercialization makes it hard to ignore.

I am jewish, so I don't celebrate christmass, but now that I think of it, a lot of people who say they celbrate x-mas, in fact don't. Celebrating christmass should probably involve going to church, not to the mall. So for all of you out there who "celebrate" Christmass at the malls and on shopping web sites, I say: "...Neither do you!"

I don't really have a religion (I don't go to church) but I still celebrate Christmas, just because it's fun! But I know alot of people that don't, such as people that are jewish.

They are correct in saying that Christ's birth date is questionable. That doesn't necessarily mean they do not believe in Him.

I'm not Christian, and I find the whole commercial nature of the holiday season to be pretty offensive. I guess you could say I don't "celebrate" Christmas. It's all I can do just to "tolerate" it.
