i'm definitely not god, so i can't answer that question.
but i think, if the witchcraft cult doesn't teach you to harm other people or cause famine, it is still ok to join them.
many people are lead to believe that witchcraft is the power of evil, since the medieval era, when the church tries to rule the world (because they were so blinded by their faith to see that there are many ways to god).
i am a roman catholic, and i don't see why you can't be closer to god outside the church. you will see yourself which one suits you the best sooner or later.

There is no such thing as a witchcraft cult. There are however witch's covens. Anyone claiming to run a witchcraft "cult" is not truely a witch or wiccan. In order to join most covens a person is usually invited, then spends about a year working and learning with the coven before they are initiated into the coven.
I believe the only problem you would have in being a member of a Krissten (yes I know how to spell, this is the old spelling of Christian, when they first went through Europe trying to convert pagans to there religion, which is another subject entirely) church and following a pagan path such as Wicca or Witchcraft would be the probable persecution by your own piers in within the Krissten Church. They tend not to like us pagans.
Witchcraft and other pagan religions have been around longer then the Christian religions, (as in the Roman Catholics etc..).
Wicca is now a nationally recognized religion.
In order to be recognized as a true religious path, a Religion must possess organized set beliefs. The American Witches Council has done such in 1974 with Wicca. It is recognized by the US Military and the US Congress as a nationally legalized religion and is protected under the 1st, 5th and 14th amendments. It is much like Christianity in the way of having various denominations (Baptist, Pentecostal, Trinity and so forth). They are all considered to be Christians, right? Witchcraft also has many different traditions or paths as well.
It would be wise for you to research Wicca and Witchcraft among other world religions, including Christianity before making any decisions on switching faiths or incorporating two faiths together.

If you are trully a strong believer in Jesus Christ why do you need to joing a witchcraft cult? This just shows God you are making a mock out of him. God says in the Bible that we are to serve and worship him only not a witchcraft cult. You need to make up your mind and decide if you are with God or with a cult.

You obviously are not the strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as you proclaim to be. Christ does not allow his sheep to stray away into the bondage of witchcraft.
Church is for believers in Christ ONLY and not for those that profess another faith such as witchcraft. Church is also used for those that are seeking Him. Church is a house of worship to God. You can't serve both God and the devil. Witchcraft is of the devil, although many of the Wiccan faith will tell you otherwise. Don't believe them. Witchcraft has it's roots in the pagan belief system known as Druidism which is a direct offshoot of mystical escoterism and Satanism.
By the way Bob H, let's get something straight... Christ NEVER lost his faith. You obviously don't know scripture very well. Or, like many non-Christians do, you have simply distorted it to fit your own personal agenda. Stop spreading lies and embrace the truth that is only found in a faith in Jesus Christ.

Detestable Practices
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

You love Jesus but you are unfamiliar with the bible or you would know that "witchcraft" "idolatry" "astrology" "fortune telling" "seers" are all abominations to God and those that practice these crafts will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. So read up! Choose wisely! Choose Christ and live.Deuteronomy 4:19: "Be careful that you don't worship the sun, moon, and stars."
Deuteronomy 17:2-5 in the Old Testament says that those who worshipped the sun, moon, or stars were to be stoned.
Leviticus 20:6 says God will separate himself from those who go after mediums and familiar spirits.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says that practicing witchcraft, sorcery, soothsaying, interpreting omens, making spells, and being a medium or spiritist, are all terrible sins to God.
Daniel 2:27-28 talks of how God kept King Nebuchadnezzar's dream and its interpretation secret from the astrologers, magicians or dream interpreters, and soothsayers. However, he revealed it to his prophet Daniel.
Acts 16:16-18 talks of a girl who was possessed by an evil spirit that enabled her to be a fortune teller. Paul commanded the evil spirit to come out of her in the name or authority of Jesus, and the spirit left her:
Deuteronomy 18:9-11: "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft..."
2 Chronicles 33:5-7: "He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced sorcery, divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger."
Throughout the entire Bible God allows only His prophets to accurately interpret any kind of "signs". It is important to realize that, when the Bible talks about signs in the stars, heavens, or whatever, they're usually literal signs:
Luke 21:24-26 says, "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

Somehow I do not think you are serious. If you are wanting to seek your enlightenment through another path, then why are you concerned about the original one you walked to get you to where you are?
I do not see a delimma in what you are asking. Perhaps it is because of my pagan "weirdo" beliefs. Pagan magic circles, as this is the more polite way of saying, witchcraft cult, generally will teach and educate a person on a completely different path than of christianity. Although it is the same forest being walked through, they are two different trods.
Let's get serious about the beliefs of others for once and stop backhandedly insulting your fellow brothers and sisters of humanity.

1 corinthians 10:21
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons.
Also...the word says to have no other God's before you....A God is ANYTHING that is put before Him...It can be TV...it can be Porn...it can be worshipping nature...He created you, and he wants your complete adoration...
The word says the gate is narrow, meaning you have to go through Christ and Christ alone...you can not go around, you can not get there by any means except through accepting what Christ did personally on the cross for you....He stands in that narrow gate....all other ways are futile...the nicest people have to still go through the gate He stands in...Don't get pulled into something just because a rosey picture has been painted...and you know what?...satan does not care one hoot if you believe in him or not, all the more easy to use you, and he will use anyone to lure you in....Stay on the one true path.

If you were a strong believer you wouldn't be joining a witchcraft CULT.
Only God can be the judge of a persons heart. You might want to check yours.

Hello dumb@ss. I am offended by this statement. To me Witchcraft is not a cult. Wicca is a legally acknowledged by the United States, yes you heard right. This wonderful country founded on religious freedom actually is giving us some freedom of religion!
To answer this, anyone can practice witchcraft, as witchcraft is using the tools of nature in 'spells'. As for following it as a religion, no you can't follow the two. They condratdict each other. But who needs a label anyway? Religious labels have caused more death than anything else anyway.
Why do you want to join this coven? Do not give into peer pressure. You must make your religious choices for yourself. It is your journey, not anyone elses.
