He is still alive, age 77 and when not bedridden in hospital at the prison is bedridden at a NHS hospital for various health problems. His last appeal in October 2005 to be released on the grounds of ill-health was turned down by the home secretary. I don't know why they just didn't let him rot in Brazil rather than squander millions of pounds of taxpayers money on nursing a sick old man in his final years. He's not worth it - he was only a minor player in the Great Train Robbery anyways.

HE'S STILL ALIVE AND HE'S IN HM PRISON SOME WHERE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
HE WONT BE TAKE ON ANY TRAIN TRIPS FROM ONE END OF THE COUNTRY TO THE OTHER END,CAUSE HE KNOWS HIS WAYS OUT OF THE RAIL NET WORK TO TAKE HIM TO BRAZIL OR MEXICO.
HE'S REALY SICK IN PRISON,HE'S LIKE A DEAD MAN LIVING THERE.
THE WON'T LET HIM OUT TILL HE'S IN A BOX THATS THE WAY HE WILL BE COMING OUT OF PRISON.
NO MERCY FOR HM HAS.KNOW WHY DON'T YOU.HE ROBBED THE TRAIN OF ALL THE MONEY.
