I am reading a book right now that's really interesting. I can't put it down. It is a non-fiction account of an Alaskan crab fisherman (the most dangerous job in the world), how he got into the business and some of the dangers he witnessed. It's called "Working on the Edge". You can get it on Amazon for under $12. I highly recommend it.

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold is simply an amazing book. One of those reads that stays with you for a very long time.
On the more classic front, I love East of Eden by John Steinbeck, as well as the Grapes of Wrath.
Another book that I read years ago, and still think about as probably one of the best books ever....The World According to Garp, by John Irving.

My new favorite book is The Lies of Locke Lamora by David Lynch i beleive. It was described as a cross between Oceans 11 and Pirates of the Caribean...i thought there was no way it could live up to that description but i swear it did! Also it is the first in a 7 book series so theres more interesting tales to look foward to.

Well, I read a multiplicity of books. But , its mainly about philosophy, how the mind works, better communication etc. From the mentioned generalizations I can say the books- "Eragon" , "Eldest" (Fiction) by Christopher Paolini, "Thought Power" by Annie Besant, All the four Dan Brown books and "How to have a Beautiful Mind" by Edward De Bono are quite good.
Hope it helped.

all Tamora Pierce books, but mostly all of the serieses set in Tortall, a country.
Diane Duane's Young Wizardry series
Mercedes Lackey's Dragon Jousters series
L.E. Modesitt's books (all of them)
Robin Hobb's books
It's a tie between these books, because the Dragon Jousters and Robin Hobb's books are wonderfully written, and the other books i just read over and over again

The Things we Carried by Tim O'Brien. It's about the Vietnam war- I'm not normally a war reading type of person but the book was great! I would reccomend it to anyone!
