Nail biting is a common habit and one that's not easy to kick. These links may help you.

I used to bite my nails all the time and that nail polish that tastes bitter did not do anything and my nails kept being destroyed and I was in pain all the time. I found the solution in artificial nails. Although they weaken the natural nails, they looked so great so I stopped the unhealthy habit, plus you cannot eat them.

If u consider artifical nails try make a budget because they cost but it's worth spending. If u see the results I think u r going to agree with me.

Good luck

Here are some things I did:

-Get a manicure, you will probly want to get your nails nice
-Get tips put on so you cant bite your nails
-Put bandaids around them
-Wear gloves
-Put on nail polish and a top coat(it taste very nasty)
-Put chili powder, chili sauce, something you dont like on your nails, (this was very effective for me.)

you can also do something with your hands, like, knit, sew, clean, something of the sort to keep your hands busy.

Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!

There are these drops you could say, that are specifically meant for that. It has a very bitter taste, so every time you bite your nails, you'll taste it. Its supposed to condition you to stop biting your nails. If not, just dip your fingers in something that doesn't taste pleasant and see if that works.

I know this girl who had a nail biting problem. Her mom bought her the chili stuff, and then she got used to it. Then, her mom got her some poison thing, or something like that, and she got used to that too. Finally, her mom got her fake nails. They hurt too much to bite off, and they looked cute. So you should try the chili powder stuff first, and then go for the artificial nails.

Go to like,cvs,k-mart,walmart or something go to the nailpolish and they'll have a nail polish that'll say for naillbitters or taste gross or something and put that on so when u bite yur nails it tastes REALLY bad. Or if u don't wanna but anything just Always have something in yur hands like a remote or something so yu'll have to notice and put something down before u bite yur nails.

You can go to the store like Walmart or any like place. In the cosmetic department look for nail biter. It is clear and absorbs when it drys. It is bitter when you bite your nails thus encouraging you not too bite them. You could also try rubbing Tabasco on your nails but be careful not to rub your eyes. I wish you well. Happy Holidays.

OHHH! I used to have the exact same problem. Then my mom bought "Thum" and a pharmacy store. Its to stop biting nails and sucking your thumbs. It was a miracle! Within a week I stopped. All you do is put it on the tips of you finger nails like nai polish. It has spicy Tabasco sauce in it so be careful to rub you eyes, it stings.

There are a couple of different products you can buy at the pharmacy that you paint on your nails. When you start to chew on them it has a bitter taste and will remind you to stop biting.

keep yourself busy with your fingers! knit, sew, draw, snap when you're listening to music, anything! also you can try getting french manicures with acrylic tips because they're hard to bite, PLUS they're pricey!
