I showed her by dunking our baby in the toilet head first! I gave it a swirly and then put it on our riding lawnmower in a car seat, put it in gear and just set it free... I'm wearing my wifebeater shirt now as we speak, or as I call it - my Alabama tuxedo! :P lol

Kim does sound controlling- the shopping thing and the "not allowed" thing are a little much.

BUT- I think friends of Nate's, girls especially, should be sympathetic to the fact that he IS a daddy now and with a tiny baby at home, Kim might need him to stay home and help out with the tater tot.

Not taking Kim's side- just saying no matter how thin the pancake, there's always 2 sides.

First of all I wouldn't be Nate, sorry but he sounds a little whipped to me. But seriously, Its kim who appears to be a little insecure. And with the age difference and their relationship it seems more like a mother and child. Maybe Nate is looking at kim in the mother image sense and really doesn't mind being treated this way. But It will sooner or later get old and he will be out the door.

there are a few things to consider....nate is quite a bit younger than kim. she is in a mothering frame of mind, and IS mothering nate. she wants to "train" him to be the perfect husband, according to what she wants in a man...not right, but it happens in so many relationships...and the reverse situation too. the daddy thing. nate probably doesn't even know who he is yet. since there is a baby involved, i would suggest trying couples counseling, and individual counseling for both of them. this relationship can work out if both ppl involved are willing to work on their issues. it's def. not okay to tell another adult what they can and can't do, and nate is playing right into her hands by restating what he's "not allowed" to do, when he's talking to his friends. he's also losing his self-respect and confidence. they should absolutely NOT get married until these issues are resolved!! best of luck to nate, kim, and the baby.

I would tell Kim that if she wants to have a real relationship she needs to stop being so controlling. If Nate really loves her, they have some serious issues to work on if they plan on raising a child together.

Nate should have a serious talk with Kim, tell her he's a grown man and has a right to be treated as such. If she won't hear him out and won't start respecting him as a human being, he'll have to be prepared to walk away.
(I assume that if he did, he would still do right by that baby girl.)
Trust me, you can only give so much of yourself to someone before you yourself cease to exist. From what you say, Nate is in danger of "disappearing."
I wish him luck.

Well first off I don't think Kim should be treating him like that. I think Nate better run the other way while he still can.

Obviously, I'd marry the b*tch. I mean, it's true love, isn't it? Geez, what a toolbox this Nate is. He's gotta learn to respect himself and ditch that chick. I know she's got a kid but are you sure it's his? I knew a guy who had a kid with his gf but she was crazy. He stayed with her for the kid's sake. You know what she did? Killed him on Thanksgiving because she wanted to run away with the kid to give it to her abusive father. And they almost won the custody anyway because the Native American tribes got involved based on their lineage. Yeah, I say Nate splits before that girl stabs him 3 times with a kitchen knife in front of the child 45 minutes after his mother leaves to say hi and drop off a cake... Now I'm sad... Sorry. lol

If I was nate I'd slap that ho. Not allowed? what is he, in first grade? these two need to realize that relationships are made of compromise. If this keeps up, nate won't make it, and kim will be a single mother (again, no doubt)

Pay the child support, get liberal visitation, if not full parental rights, as Kim would seem to have some issues. Sounds like she's going through some post partem situation... If that's the case, I'm certain she can get some medication to control her ignorance. I told my ex wife when she was nutting up after the birth of our children, she'd better get her act together, it's nuts...

Talk to Kim about how controlling she is. He can't just leave because there is a Child involved but he needs to tell her that there is only one child in the household and it isn't him. If he doesn't nip this problem in the butt right now, it will just get worse and worse, trust me I had a very controlling Girlfriend and unfortunately it didn't work out.
