every time i try to open it it says "media player cannot play file it might not support tjhe file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file" what does all this mean i only wanted to hear my daughter singing i have windows xp by the way help

Get the file extension of the file and look it up at http://www.filext.com to figure out what program you need to play it with. You could also try using WinAmp to play the file.

Go onto the microsoft website and download the recent media player codecs.http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/codecs/audio.aspx around here somewhere

you could try searching for a file extension on the internet then downloading it
