i dont see rap music as angry TODAY. Today, we have the bling bling era-which is about to be dead. Real Rap music is angry simply because it reflects the lives of the artists. Artists who feel, with some justice, that they have been betrayed by those who came before them, and that they are at best tolerated in schools, feared on the streets, and ultimately doomed for prison.

All rap music is not angry! Most rap music "Gangsta Rap" mostly deals with the "life"experiance of the rappers. It's a hard world to live in and the death and violence that most people have to live around would make anyone no angry but "MAD" its depressing from the time you wake up and decide to leave your house it is a fighting battle to make it where you have to go safely. Many have no choice but to sell drugs or "Hustle" as the saying goes, if you want to eat.
But most rappers now are rapping on hype and not the truth of their lives, remember the record companies want to sell records regardless of the truth . So yeah some rap is angry, some is sexual, some is nice and some makes no sense at all..........

Tha fact that music is all that a lot of rappers had. They were raised in the ghetto and had 2 survive in the streetz. They are angry becuz they're happy to know that they can help out people in the street jus like them.

Rock music is just as angry. Both appeal to teens who feel isolated, confused, and are seeking their place in the world.
Angry and melancholy sells; happy music ends up in the bargain bin.

Because there is a push to dumb down the children so they can be more easier led. Look at some of your answers from those who thinks its not bad. The music isn't even music its just one cord played loud.

It's not angry.I think the only angry person in rap is Mystical----*yelling* "Shake it fast,but watch yourself.Shake it fast,show me what you're working with" or *once again yelling*
"DANGER,DANGER".
Rock is much more angrier.
