We have all our family over and prepare a great meal for Christmas Eve dinner, and after dinner we play games and watch movies. On Christmas morning our adult kids come over to open gifts. This year my son won't be able to join us, as he is in the Army stationed in South Korea. After we open gifts, my husband makes Belgium waffles for everyone.

i do the same stuff every year.
Christmas eve we take our daughter down to the park, they have the "festival of lights" she enjoys that. Christmas morning we open presents, then i clean up. Christmas day afternoon, we go to my husbands mother's house, his sister comes over and we have dinner/presents. Boxing day we drive to his step brothers house, where his dad also stays, we have dinner/presents. then we all load up and drive another 2.5 hrs (in good weather) to go up to the cottage in the middle of nowhere and be bored for 3 days, then we take a 4.5hr trip back home.
Thank god my folks live in another province, and we get together during the summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

family tradition. my whole extended family shows up at my mom's house for Christmas breakfast and to exchange gifts. it works because everyone comes, no conflict with spousal family obligations and we have been doing it for over 30 years. i NEVER miss it. that is my favorite part of Christmas

Nothing exciting except for watching my grandson's happy smiling face as he opens his gifts in excitement and joy. Otherwise eat and watch movies.
