If you only need a few, and don't want to invest in a plug-cutter, most lumber yards and some home-improvement or hardware stores do carry wood plugs in 2 or 3 sizes. 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 -inch are most common. I've seen and used them in both oak and hardwood. The oak ones may not be WHITE oak, but you could bleach or stain them for a pretty close match.

Just make your own using a plug cutter and some white oak. Rockler has some good tools and hardware, but I personally prefer Woodcraft. Also, if you position the cutter so that the outer edge just barely breaks through the edge of the board the chips will come out easier, leading to a faster time and less heat build up.

If you want solid wood, you probably won't find white oak anywhere. But your best bet is Rockler or Woodcraft. If you want a sticker type cover, you could try FastCap. I'm sure they must have a web site.

I use my plug cutter and use the scrap stock of the wood I am making my project from. If you want precut plugs check your local hard woods supplier, Rockler or other online vendor.
