YOU CAN'T!!!
Your DVD is in a diffrent format if copied or recorded on a DVD from your Computer. If you per say copy a TV program on a DVD/VHS burner player made for TV's that DVD will not play on your computer. Good old B.G. has it all covered. Windows Media Player will not reconise anything that was not composed on your computer. The same holds true that your non computer players, (Portable CD Players/DVD Players that you hook up to a TV will not play recordings composed on a computer).
There are work around software programs, but be prepaired to pay high dollar for these.
www.tigerdirect.com has some.
www.geak.com has some
www.newegg.com also has some.
Search www.google.com for more.
Good luck

DVD+re??? There is no such thing! If you meant DVD+RW, you need to Finalized the disc before it can be play on your dvd player. Most dvd players won't be able to see the disc if it's not Finalized. Your dvr can do that for you or any burning program you used to put pictures/videos on it.

You'll have to have the specific program (i.e. a DVD shrink program) and it will format it to go on the tv. I don't know the specifics, but I called my husband and he is a computer guy. He said without knowing all of the backround info like what programs and stuff, that is the general answer. Hope it helps.
