Scott Ritter seems convinced that the USA will attack Iran, the consequences cannot be accurately predicted, but you can be sure that Iran has planned for this.
Not just the people of America, but the people of the world would be affected, of course the oil price would rise dramatically, then the gas prices, then the price of shipping/ goods.
I guess it would be similar or worse than the oil crisis of the 70's.
The common people of the world would no doubt feel the effects of economies failing, probably a world wide recession.
But some people will profit, oilmen love high oil prices, military suppliers would get more contracts from the aggressors, and what has Bush got to lose? he can't be re-elected, he has no regard for human life.
As for India and China i doubt they would do anything militarily, but economically they can further reduce the amount of dollars they hold in the reserves, which would add to the depression in the USA. Some Americans would support whatever Bush does, but the majority wouldn't, but they have no say in the USA's "democracy".

No. I have not supported him in the years he has been in office. I knew he was going to be a bad president and he has not disappointed. He follows in the footsteps of Reagan who was very bad, George Bush Sr who was bad, and this Bush tops all of them. The biggest threat to this country has been this administration since 9/11. He has been a threat to civil liberties, alienating us from our friends in the world, going to war against a nation that had no nuclear weapons instead of chasing Bin Laden in Afghanistan, forgetting about the poor and middle class, and rushing to sign a bill to keep a brain dead woman alive. This man has never had any class or decency to do the right thing and he never will.

They aren't going to touch.Iran.
Here's a little clue for you:
What you see today happening and being reported on the news has been in the works for possibly the last 4 years, maybe more.
We're just seeing plans being manifested.
The US is going to going plant Itself in the center of the Middle East and Iraq and Iran is just going along for the ride.
Did you read that fluffy letter the President of Iran wrote to Us Noble Americans?
I'm pro-palestine, but the Iranian Pres guy is blowing smoke.

I don't think the sky is truly falling. And I doubt we will have to resort to attacking Iran. Iran will implode if we finish what we have started in Iraq. The good citizens of Iran are miserable with living under an oppressive theocracy and will take the steps necessary to topple that form of government. Is it right? Well, I would prefer it to living under the conditions they are living.
As to my pocketbook? I prepare as best I can for any eventuality. I survive, I get by because I take care of myself and don't depend on my government to make all decisions for me. Can't speak for anyone but me...I'll get by fine. Thanks for being concerned.

What could happen to your head if he doesn't? Do you care more about your pocketbook or your head? Why haven't we been finding ways to live without oil? After WWII would have been a good time to start looking for an oil-free America. Both American parties have been non-performers and negligent when it comes to oil.
It seems like Americans only think about their pocketbook.
