Every Christmas that goes by, Santa sheds one layer of skin. At the beginning of time Santa was so fat that he had 29 winged mammoths (including the one at the front with the bright red trunk) to pull his monsterous sled. Luckily then presents weren't quite so bulky and there were only a few to deliver. Rumour has it that once Santa has shed every layer of skin that he can, that will be the end of time.

Because everyone leaves him milk and cookies and he doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so he eats them all. Poor Santa -- he's so sweet.
