If I had to choose from one of the options I'd choose McDonald's, at least it's an honest legal job.

I'd work at McDonald's in order to get something to put on a resume. I would do whatever I could there to network my way into something better..... even it that meant dropping hints to regular customers to look out for any leads on good jobs. I would also volunteer somewhere and try to get known by people who might recommend me for a job. I know that it is very hard to get out of being poor and out of work.
The key is that stripping and standing on the corner, outside or moral and legal issues, have no long-term future. There is quite a bit of danger involved. There is danger working in fast food too but at least I could actually be making a living until I'm in my 60s. I don't know how many strip places have 62 year old women! I don't think that I've seen any post menopausal women standing on street corners either. The long term possibilities just aren't there.

As a man I would work 2 or 3 jobs if necessary to take care of my family. But never would I stand on a corner or resort to stripping. There are other jobs out there, however, this is a decision that everyone has to make for themselves.

Having been poor at one time, living from tiny paycheck to paycheck, let me try and offer you a realistic answer. Getting out of being poor has to involve starting over again. It's an overhaul in the way you have been living your life. When I decided I didn't like being poor, I went back to college. I got lots of grants and financial aid to do it, and everything was ok from the money standpoint, even though I was poor, and people will tell you poor people can't afford college.

Today, I make more money than I ever thought possible. I am happy with my salary. It took starting over. It was a haul of about 8 years before I saw profound results. But if I hadn't made that first move to change, I'd be even poorer today, and the same 8 years would have passed, all the same.

YOU have to make the difference.

I would work at McDonalds, mop floors and empty trash before I would stand on a corner. Anyone that has the strength to stand on a corner all day and beg for money can work 8 hours doing something.

Depending on the circumstances why are you poor? there are a host of reasons, abusive family, boy friend etc. if you poor just at the moment, pick up the strip club and make some money, but don't get into all the hoopla of working i a club, that will be no good. make money then leave. corner no way that's dangerous and not healty. Good luck.

Even poor people have options to go to school and take classes or start in a entry level position for a large company. They don't just have to work at McDonald's or street corners.
