you mean like history? You can purchase a lot of history books, that will give you our history. It's a lot more brief than European history, or something like that - we haven't been around long.

If you're looking for other things - such as population statistics, geographical statistics, etc. There are a lot of government sites that are "public" where you can get that information. Try googling what you're looking for - you'll probably come up with a lot of stuff!
