do you find the more you spend the better they actually are ? do you find the elastic lasts longer than cheap multi pack ones? do the colors/patterns take longer to fade like some cheaper brands do?

Yes, they certainly are. If you look good in them and they make you feel good get them. It's a very feminine experience.

With my experience no. I've boughten panties from Walmart before and the have been no different from the Victoria's Secret ones which some are $10.00 a piece. I don't think there is a difference and I personally would way rather buy 3 for the same price as 1.

it depends on the brand. i cant afford la perla or agent provocateur, but i usually spend about $40 - $50 on a bra and underwear set. i think victorias secret has horribly cheap undergarments. they always loose elasticity and unravel. not worth the price at all. gap body surprisingly has better quality stuff, but it is a bit more casual looking. i mainly go to department stores like macy's and nordstrom to get mine. maidenform, bali, lily of france, all tend to be better quality as a whole lot of other brands. my friends dont spend the money i do, but i think i have better quality stuff. the shape and color lasts much longer.

i think they are worth it. the ones you buy at like walmart or so in a 5 pack will break apart in like 10 or so washes.
if you want to invest in some pretty undies, you can try victoria's secret.... they're not too expensive and comes in a range of style, sizes, colors & patterns. you should definitely go w/ the seamless ones though. the "very sexy" collection is also a fav of mines.

calvin klein- you can find this at macy's.... they carry a good line as well.

I purchase Victoria Secret...I do this 2x's a year. All underwear I think should be replaced after they become a lil worn...or used for "that time of the month". Cotton ones are 5/25.00 or go to website under clearence and they are 3.99 each. The lacy ones or the "sexy ones" you wash by hand so those will last longer if you dont put them in regular laundry. I think its the material used...remember these too are made in sir lanka.."tsunami area".

Cheap ones are a waste of money and I use those for that time each month. When they fall apart I throw them away. Slightly more expensive ones are better, they wash and wear. I get my everyday ones from Marks & Sparks. But for special occasions, Asda (Walmart) are well worth the money, and I agree with everyone that said hand wash them but I often forget and it doesn't seem to bother them.
To be honest by the time you get to my age comfy pants are worth their weight in gold :)

When I buy expensive panties, I feel very sexy within. Of course my boyfriend loves them on me very, very much. They also will last a very long time as well. When you ask if the colors/patterns fade, I am hoping you aren't referring to cotton though. Ah-Ah. Silk doesn't do either.

I personally don't think it matters. I throw out all my panties about twice a year and buy all new ones, so I don't see why I should spend $20 for one pair at Vicky's Secret when I could buy 5 pairs for that price at Walmart that are just as sexy.

Panties should be comfortable, end of story. It doesn't matter how much they cost as long as they are soft and fit you right, and don't cut you in the wrong places and give you 'muffin top' (when your upper hip flesh bulges out). Jocky panties w/no pantyline are very comfy and soft and look nice, too.

Absolutely. I like commandos. You can find them online if they aren't available in a store near you. I like they look like no undies even in tight jeans they are comfortable and wash well.
But for 'that' time of the month I go with the cheapies.

Some of the 'cheaper' underwear can look and feel just as good as the more expensive underwear. If it looks good then i'll buy it, no matter what the price.
