so....how can i download free ringtones onto my phone?

I have a cingular LG2000 and i wasnt sure if i could>......legally

If you have the data cable for your phone, you can put them on for free. What I do is take an MP3 and use a free MP3 editing tool (like Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) to cut out my favorite part of the song. Then I use the cable to upload it to my phone and I make it my ringtone! I can't believe people pay up to $5 for these true tone ringtones when they literally take less than 5 minutes to make.
