que is bettter.. but i guess queue is written this way to express its meaning the 2 "ue" are standing in a queue..

Yup-the xtra ue is redundant, but like most British/French based words, it has a bunch of silent, useless letters...
The word Wednesday is weird because it's not pronounced how it's spelled. If we pronounced it the way it's spelled, we would say: Wed-ness-day...
However it is really pronounced: Wenz-day.

Lots of words are utilising unneccessary extra letters ... in all languages ... and the same word in different countries with the same meaning are spelt differently....I think it depended on what they were smoking when they created their countries cultural dictionaries, dont you??...Merry Xmas from Downunder.
