If storing your grill for an extended period of time, it’s fine to store it in the garage. That is WITHOUT the propane cylinder attached to the grill. The cylinder should always be shutoff, disconnected and stored in a well ventilated area outside. If your intention was to move it in and out, between regular usage, the answer would still be not with the cylinder attached to the grill.

The propane cylinder is required by federal law to have certain information displayed on it, generally in the form of a decal. If you read that information you will see that it is clearly stated that you should not store the cylinder indoors. Hope this helps.

it should be fine as long as there isn't a leak in the tank, fire in the house, doesn't get hit by the car, knocked over accidentally, valve gets broken off somehow. see where I am going with this? NO it is not OK to keep in the garage.
