Is the playstation store open for buying ps1 games for the psp in the UK?

i got the 3.01 version and if the store is not open yet, is there any other way i can get the games, im especialy looking for final fantasy 7 and 8

it's impossible to play ps1 games for the psp because psp has a umd and won't support ps1 games, but if there is please e-mail at bizzelx1@yahoo.co.uk thanks xx
