Bloomers my dear. Or what about tight fitting Thermal cycle shorts. You could try Woolly tights, they are always fashionable and you can get away with outrageous colours. There may even be a winter version of thongs you never know what will come out next.
For our Polishcat friend. Knickers is a term used in this country for girls pants. You would refer to a girls knickers if you were discussing schoolgirl clothing. The expression "Don't get your knickers in a twist" means, calm down or stop getting agitated as you would if your knickers were twisted.

gurl boxers! they are comfy and are also streamline if you get what i mean, but basically they stick to ur bum so they dont show as much as granny pants with tight skirts!
