I read the Chicago Tribune on Sundays, but on weekdays I just look on the internet for the latest stories. Newspapers are becoming obsolete due to the paper cost and people having to deliever them. The modern world is spending much more time on the internet.

I peruse the on-line versions of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, because I need to keep up with things going on in our local area for work. I also scan the on-line versions of the Meadville Tribune (the paper in the area of my hometown) and the USA Today (to see what the national stories are). We actually get the Ellwood City Ledger (our local paper) at my house, but I don't read it very often. My wife reads it and lets me know if there are any articles she thinks would interest me.

I read the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, cover to cover, almost every day. My reasons? Well, I live in the St. Louis metro area, I enjoy several of the writers (especially Bill McClellan), and there's nothing like reading the paper with a mug of hot cocoa in the morning.

The Wall St. Journal. Interesting news stories, variety of sections, didn't seem to slant much in either direction, seemed like a honest accounting of what's going on.

But I do get the majority of my news online. I can consult overseas media for a different perspective on American events & it allows me to be very selective about what I read.

I buy the Guardian on Saturday. The reason is they carry a literary review section on Saturday, plus you get the entire week's TV listings.
The rest of the week I read the Net.

I only read my local hometown paper (published weekly) for the local news, job opportunities and real estate section. Despite being a weekly paper, they have great coverage of local politics and tax issues. I get my national news from the web or cable news.

I prefer my small hometown newspaper for current news about my town. But, there's one called Times & Transcript, which in New Brunswick is pretty huge and covers not just NB news, but all across Canada, America and worldwide. I love it.

I don't follow any one particular paper. I follow news online. I can get several perspectives of the same story, get international headlines and small town news all at the tip of my fingers. I would have to flip through dozens of papers and magazines to get the same information. Much easier and convenient this way.

I usually get USA Today. I read some news online but you can't beat the ol' ink and paper!

I read USA Today more than I read my local paper...which doesn't really cover much.
