The best moment of every year is when the first snowflakes fall. You look up and suddenly the sky is full of them, big ones, falling straight down., or a little sideways in the breeze.

But no, that's not really the very best. The very best moment of the year is the moment the first bluebird sings in the spring.

Some years the best moment is when you're making a baby, or maybe the moment your baby is born. When you hear your baby's first cry, and suddenly realize a cry is like a fingerprint, and no two babies cry alike, and this is the first moment in history that anyone has ever heard your baby's special cry.

If you buy your first house that year, the best moment might be the moment you get the news that you're approved for your mortgage.

If you're 5 years old, the best moment might be when you wake up on Christmas morning and see that Santa really did come.

With all the billions of people in this world, there aren't really any bad moments, because it's always someone's best moment of the year.

MY best moment in 2006 was discovering a special connection with an internet chatter. We have since remained friends and the time we've spent online has truly meant a great deal to me.

My best moment I've ever had this 2006 is yesterday, December 21, 2006.
Yesterday is our Christmas Party in school. I gave a gift to my "crush", I thought that he would also give me one but he didn't.
I was disappointed with that but it's alright becuase I was teasing that time that he haven't given me a gift. I tap his shoulder and then I placed my hand on his shoulder. Then he holds it! Wow! Hehehe . . . so that's it . . . don't try to ask more questions about this day . . . I was happy!

Wow, having to pick only one is hard - Each day is a best moment. I have had a lot of successes this year, but I have to say perforing at Church Street Christmas (www.churchstreetchristmas.com) will be a headliner. I love holiday music and getting to perform it last night was great.

I purchased my first home. That was the best moment.

Incase the missus reads this some day; another great moment was meeting her. I know, I sound like a sucker on that last one but it will earn me brownie points.

Take care.

I came home from work the other day. My fourteen year old daughter had cooked dinner. She and her little brother, who is nine, were sitting at the kitchen table, eating. They were snuggled close together, singing Christmas carols, enjoying their food and laughing. My husband walked in right behind me, and we stood in the doorway of the kitchen, watching them. I think it brought tears to both of our eyes. It was a truly sweet moment, and possibly what Christmas is all about.
