My car exhaust has got rusty and is falling off. My dad says the whole exhaust will need replacing. As it's xmas and an expensive and busy time, I am worried as to how much this will cost me. Does anyone have anysort of clue as to how much it will cost? I have a Citrean Saxo if that makes any difference. I am in England too.

You're looking at a ball-park figure of around £120 to £150 fitted. Ring round a few places and get quotes. Sometimes you'll find that your local garage is a lot cheaper than these national chains such as Hi-Q or Kwik Fit. You might be able to get it for a shade under £100 if you phone around. Every time we've been to Kwik Fit they try and sell us new tyres as well to bump up the price even more.

DON'T Use Kwik Fit, they will just rip you off and their level of skill leaves a lot to the imagination.

As long as you don't need a new catalyst converter you should be able to get the whole system for under £100 if you fit it yourself or around £150 fitted. However make sure you actually need the whole system and its not just one section.
