I think Pat Sajak is...You have to love his comments during Wheel of Fortune. I watched on episode where the final prize word was some kind of cut of beef and the contestant got it right. Pat Sajak turned to her and said, "Guess what you've just won?" and the woman was all excited and he said in a dramatic voice "A trip to the slughterhouse!" That woman's face was priceless in the moment between him saying that and then telling her the real prize. Hilarious!

They're both very well known. Both are household names. I heard Sajak considered running for political office. It's tough to say which is more popular- I think Sajak may have a slight edge in popularity, but more people have a liking for Alex Trebek.

Trebeck has only been doing Jepordy since late 1980's, when Pat Sajack has been doing Wheel Of Fortune since Early 1980's I guess I'm considering that the older someone is the more people who will know them cause the older, the more time periods they must of hit.
