If it's in reference to the musical Cats, it's a Jellicle Cat. T.S. Eliot, who wrote Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (the musical was based on that) heard his niece say something that sounded like "jellicle cat" when she tried calling for her "dear little cat." Seems it has its origin in a speech problem ;)

From T. S. Elliot:
"Jellico Cats are white and black,
Jellico Cats are of moderate size;
Jellicles jump like a jumping jack,
Jellico Cats have moonlit eyes
They're quiet enough in the morning hours,
They're quiet enough in the afternoon,
Reserving their terpsichorean powers
To dance by the light of the Jellicle Moon."

are you sure you mean jellico and not calico?
calico is a type of pattern, or mix of colors. It's like brown and black and auburn or something.
I don't know anything about jellico.
