Pom-pom crafts are really simple, don't take much equipment besides scissors (you can get pom-pom makers, but they aren't really that necessary), and are very quick. You can make bunnies, Christmas trees, cats, dogs -- anything you can imagine that's kind of roundish. Use a little felt to add details (glue it on).

READ It's a great past time with lots of benefits. Your children see you doing it and will follow your lead. It's great brain exercise. And who knows you just may learn something along the way.

I had taken up crocheting (not sure how it's spelled) it's cheap and easy to learn. And if you're always bored you can make your own gifts....other wise get a playstation that will make the time go by fast!

I don't know about the best, but my favorite is crocheting. It is not that hard to learn.
There is also knitting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, candlemaking, needlepoint..
