The more mature I get the more humble. Twenty years ago, I knew everything. Now, I'm old and smart enough to know that I know squat.

The maturity means that you leave behind the arrogance...however...if you tend to be high intellectual....then you become superior...and you see all the things from a distance...and after a while you start ignoring the things around you...cuz you think you ae the best...I think at this point people become arrogant.

Take care...and don't be so arrgoant...no one will like you :)

The only way maturity can become arrogance, is when you're really not MATURE you just think you are, and you take it so far to think your "righter, or better" than people because of the fact you are mature.
But a real MATURE person wouldn't be so kiddish to think there better or righter than another person because of there maturity.
so you must not really be mature if you feel arrogance over someone else.

Arrogance is the inability to believe in one's own fallibility. Maturity is when fallibility is accepted and accounted for along with the possibility of success. Maturity essentially allows for the existence of mistakes in one's own judgement, arrogance does not.

Self-confidence can lead to arrogance. Maturity is having the ability to prevent over-confidence.

arrogance is not a reflection of true maturity. maturity allows you to overlook the arrogance of others and yourself.
