My computer is misbehaving. While am working, it can decide to start opening other programs etc. I could be working on any file but it automatically points the arrow to start and then picks on any item on the menu then opens it. I have scanned, cleaned etc but this problem keeps ocurring. When its running, I can not continue with what I was doing and I have to start closing the programs it had opened. What's wrong?

Are you running on a network? If so some one on the network with admin privilages is messing with you. They can run your system from a remote location.

If you are not on a network check your firewall some one is accessing your system.

This is not typical of a virus. A virus cannot control your mouse.

It is artificial intelligence, just kidding. Does this happen when you are on the internet? If so it is possible you are being hacked. Make sure that you have a firewall installed on your computer. This will make it harder for someone, if that is indeed the case. It could be a virus too maybe, but you have a virus scanner, and this is not how they USUALLY behave, so hacker comes to mind.

This behaviour is certainly a viral behaviour. To try and correct this try running one of the latest antivirus programs e.g Norton. Avg, Mcaffee etc. with latest updates, if this fails then I think you have to format your computer...
