It can take anything up to a year for your cycle to get back to normal after you come off the pill, so it may take a while. However that's not everyone!! I fell pregnant while on the pill with my first child and also with my second, with my second I had forgotten the pill one day so took the morning after pill. Thank God it doesnt work for me because I have my 3 beautiful children now. With my third i got pregnant first go, so it really can work straight away. Every woman is different but it is definitely possible for you to get pregnant in the first month after you stop taking your pill.
Good luck, I hope this coming year brings you everything you are hoping for!

I was just one of the .01% that conceived while on the pill. Truly. I had been taking the pill for 8 years with some admitted bumps in the road early on. However, for the past 5 years of taking it I took it faithfully everyday at the same time without missing any. I was not on antibiotics or any other medication that woudl interfere with the effectiveness of the pill (including various herbal supplements). Sometimes, these things just happen! At first I was really upset about it. In fact, it took my husband and I a full 5 months before we got really excited. But now we can't wait to meet the little one!

Ofcorse the chance is there even if your late taking pills you can fall pregnant although a higher percentage of woman say after pill usage it takes a while for the pill to come out your body.the pill stops true ovulation causing a false period so every woman differs how long it takes to regulate back to normal my mums ovaries stopped working and took 2 years to kick in and a further 8months to concieve.they always say after stopping the pill you should wait 6 months before trying to concieve to be sure the pill is out your system and everythings regulated again.
