Getting a hit on your back from your teacher while there is utter confusion (including some observers) or getting a scolding in front of the whole class using words like 'mannerless'? Which one would be more embarrassing for you?

They would both be embarassing, I would have to say the scolding would be worse, because if a teacher ever physically struck me, especially as you say there are a couple of witnesses, I would be filing a complaint so fast you wouldn't see me for dust... and I'd have the final satisfaction in the end.

Your teacher is a disgrace. "Mannerless?" Does that word even exist? Anyway, both are really wrong. Did I hear it right? You were hit and humiliated? You can report this teacher for assault and harassment. You have rights and you should protect it. Even if it was your fault, degrading you and stripping you of your dignity is unforgivable. Consult your parents or a counselor immediately.

I can take a slap, but insults i cant stand for. especially coming from a teacher which is suppose to be somebody you respect and look up to. But in our pc world their both pretty bad. Personaly i wouldnt mind if teachers were alub to slap their pupils upside their heads. I know i wouldve taken them more serious if they did that instead of me knowing the worst that could happen was detention.
