Go for Maruti's New Model Zen Estilo. which is in your budget and i think it is better choice than Wagon R.

Close your eyes and pick the Fiat Palio 1.2NV at 3.7L with the current discounts. this is easily the best built car int he category and also comes with most space and the best suspension.
The second choice is everything in the Xeta Stable from tata's starting with the Xeta 1.4 GLX which comes with power windows and fog lamps and all of 70hp of power.
My last choice would be the alto. Too small for the price they charge and then you end up feeling all the bumps.

only insist on maruti, as you know that only maruti service is wide spread in INDIA,so no probs in the spares,for a make in 4lakh u can opt 4 wagonr,but the best one is the latest zen-estillo really fuel economical vehical

maruti anytime...you can easily go for a wagon R in your budget...
more economical, cheaper spare parts
