I am looking for a *totally free* site, where I can send text messages from my computer free of charge. Tried one called CardboardFish which was useless and texts did not arrive. Have looked at a few others, but they were scams. I can only afford £10 a month top up, so looking for something like this, when I run out of credit on my PAYG (3 Network). Any links to any tried and tested sites would be great :) Thanks :)

Forgot to mention, I mean to send messages from my computer to mobiles, not to another PC. I'm in the UK, so only really looking for UK sites. Thanks :)

also, if someone has a sprint phone you can use your yahoo email. I think it is xxx xxx xxxx@messenging.sprintpcs.com. The yahoo one is unlimited, but it only works with sprints phones that I know of.

You could try yahoo messenger or chikka... although chikka is a free text messenger it depends greatly on the network whether they press charges to receive and send texts... yahoo messenger is also free, but some find it inconvenient...

for local texts try www.cbfsms.co.uk, or boltblue and for international texts try www.sendsmsnow.com.
i use them and they are a penny saver
