If a bomb explode in the middle of the desert and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

no. it will not make a sound, nobody hears it. unless there is someone there to hear it, there will not be a sound(:

Yes, the animal and plant life heard it as well as the people that set the bomb off.

If you are talking about sound energy, Yes it does.

But if you are talking about sound as a sensation, it is obvious it does not as there is no reciever.

However if you leave a recording device running or a microphone to collect signals it will leave you with proof of sound.
