cause it is all kinds of the tissue and lining of the uterus that breaks down when you do not get pregnant and comes out while your having your period. They say you only lose 2 tablespoons of blood while having your period but do you really believe that? I don't

The amount of blood is actually not much - it is maxiumum an ounce over the entire menstruation.

If you are having gushing periods you may have an underlying problem such as fibroids (benign growths). See your ob/gyn and if they tell you it's fibroids and you need a hysterectomy, remember there are other options, like uterine artery embolization.

every month is different and each year that changes... don't worry the body knows how much is too much.... sometimes I think I will pass out from blood loss! lol
