It's not that uncommon. You can go to http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/Welcome_e.html
that will give you all the past weather in Ontario.

It has been white in Ontario for every Christmas since Christ was born. Just be grateful that you don't live in Winterpeg, Mannitoba (or Churchill for that matter).
